A welcoming, community-based ballet academy
Bayside Ballet Academy is a community-based dance school in Beaumaris, offering authentic, high-quality ballet training in a welcoming, inclusive and non-competitive environment. We support dancers of all ages to learn, grow and build confidence through genuine teaching and a strong sense of community.
We are fully committed to providing a friendly, encouraging and inclusive learning space for every student. Our ballet classes are taught to a high standard in a safe, positive and technically correct way, ensuring students develop strong foundations while feeling supported and confident.
Our experienced ballet teachers use reputable, recognised dance training methods and safe dance practices, allowing students to progress at their own pace while enjoying the journey. All Bayside Ballet Academy teachers hold mandatory child-safety training, first aid and CPR qualifications and are fully accredited to work with children.

Bayside Ballet Academy is led by Principal Lydia Cagney Morris, a highly respected, popular and well-loved dance teacher. Lydia is an experienced Cecchetti Classical Ballet teacher, A.M.E.B Australian Music Education Board Examiner and International Adjudicator with over 50 years of involvement in dance.
Lydia’s extensive experience and deep understanding of dance education underpin the Academy’s commitment to excellence, safe dance practices and nurturing each student’s individual potential. Her passion for teaching and genuine care for her students is at the heart of everything BBA offers..
